05 Nov Helping Clients Maximise Investments and Exposure at International Events, Conferences and Exhibitions
At Knights MPR we are often asked to support our clients at key industry events, conferences and exhibitions around the world.
This year was no exception with members of the team supporting clients before, during and after international maritime and shipping events.
We’ve supported leading marine and energy organizations attending the LNG Bunkering and Future Fuels Summit, Argus Green Marine Fuels and Maritime Decarbonisation Europe conferences in Amsterdam, SMM in Hamburg, and most recently SIBCON in Singapore.
To help ensure our clients maximise their investments in time and resources, preparations for these events saw the Knights team supporting by:
- Amplifying sponsorship value with regular event organiser meetings and liaison to ensure increased visibility across all event marketing channels
- Delivering pre-event speaker training with organizational leaders and technical teams to support strategic communications in keynote speeches, panel discussions and media interviews
- Developing keynote presentation content to ensure delivery of strong value proposition messaging to key audiences
- Undertaking media liaison to secure in-person interviews and significant press coverage before, during and after events
- Creating post event content to ensure in-event key messages were communicated across wider external marketing channels
- Cascading social media messaging across conference social media channels and clients’ own social media channels to promote collaborations and global presence at industry events.
Members of the Knights team also were present on the ground at the LNG Bunkering and Future Fuels Summit, Argus Green Marine Fuels and SMM, supporting our clients by intelligence gathering and perhaps most importantly, overseeing face-to-face media interviews between key international maritime media and senior client representatives. As a result of this support, our clients enjoyed:
- Impactful and consistent brand exposure across the global maritime sector before, during and after the events
- Strategic promotions in front of key audiences, helping position our clients as thought leaders, market leaders, trusted experts and innovators in their core markets
- Significant editorial media coverage in top tier publications and international maritime press, reinforcing the impactful messages delivered in-event to global audiences beyond the confines of the event walls and marketing channels
- Increased return on investment for our clients through quality content, media engagements and PR coverage.
Equivalent Advertising Value (EAV) resulting from our media engagement and management generated significant media coverage and many thousands of pounds as well as impactful exposure in titles including:

“From taking a headline sponsorship or stand/booth space, meeting clients face to face to strengthen relationships, making a splash by launching new products or services or keeping brand exposure high through keynote delivery and media interviews, national and international industry events provide significant opportunities to make an impact. But really measuring a return on the significant investment of time, money, people and logistics can be challenging beyond purely sales leads generated,” said Jason Knights, founder of Knights MPR.
“At Knights we like to add value to our clients’ event investments by working with them to devise what are effectively bespoke communications campaigns for each event. This can start long before they take place with a range of activities including event organiser liaison, pre-event marketing, crystallising focussed key messages, speaker and media training, planning materials for new product or service launches and securing media interviews,” highlights Sabina Zawadzki, Knights MPR’s Head Consultant for APAC.
“With experienced journalists on the team, we are securing coverage in top tier publications that makes a real impact for our clients,” says Nancy Dunnahoe, Head Consultant for North America. “Sharing their valuable insights through relevant and engaging editorial supports clients’ efforts to promote technological advancements and solutions to the most pressing industry challenges.”
“Everything is geared toward ensuring cohesive and strategic messaging across multiple marketing channels before, during and after key international events – an approach that can all too often be overlooked in the furore of event planning and attendance,” added Graham Buckley, Head Consultant for Europe at Knights MPR.
